Maybe I should have hidden it
The rather large box containing Mandy's birthday present is sitting in the middle of my kitchen floor. Because she's one - she doesn't know what's inside the box; she has no concept of birthdays or presents - she just thinks it's a large box with a cute picture on the front. Except she doesn't - she knows. She sits beside the box and pats it. She tries to push the buttons on the picture and when nothing happens, she grabs my finger and makes me try to push the buttons. I laughed for 10 minutes the other day as she repeatedly pressed my index finger against a button on a picture.
