Learning body parts
Mandy knows where her hair, knees, toes and coke is. Mike spent some time teaching her the hair, knees, and toes last night and I made the mistake of poking her in the stomach and saying "poke" as I did it. Now, she pokes herself in the stomach & says "coke." I'm pretty sure she thinks that is the name of that body part.
Everyone told me to enjoy the stage in her life where I could put her in a bouncy seat and she would stay there. I didn't so much enjoy that stage, mainly because she was so unhappy with that stage. She's much happier now that she can move around at will. Very happy to climb on our living room chair and then climb over to our glass top end table. Mommy is obviously less happy with her new range of exploration. She can get into the vanity drawers, the night stand drawers. The only safe places are the counter tops and the center of the kitchen table. Pretty soon, we'll be hanging our stuff from the ceiling. We have some plant hooks up there already.
