Update
We've had her on soy formula for 4 days now with no apparent side effects or reaction. I think Enfamil and Good Starts both have a soy toddler formula, so I'll probably be going with that. If she could eat a more well rounded diet, I could just put her on soy milk, but since she's getting no other protein at all, I feel better keeping her on some form of formula. This will save us over $150 a month, and that is with me buying her old formula off ebay at a discount. So we're pretty excited about this development.
I have two job interviews on Monday. We're almost at the bottom of our savings, and have nothing else we can cut from our budget, so it's pretty critical that one of these come thru. Both are for freelance work, but if something doesn't come thru soon, I'll have no choice but to stick her in a daycare and take a job somewhere. That depresses me on many levels, but I'm trying not to think about it until I really think I've exhausted my resources on the freelance job search.
Oh - and thanks to an honest neighbor and a handy husband, I had my new faucet within hours of posting about the cosmic joke.
